OUR STORY

Continuing a Legacy of Care, Community & Horsemanship

AMP Stables & Boarding Today

In December 2024, Erica and Russ Brown proudly became the owners of AMP Stables & Boarding, continuing a tradition of exceptional horse care, quality instruction, and a welcoming barn community.

When the opportunity arose to continue AMP's legacy, we knew we weren't simply purchasing a boarding and lesson barn—we were becoming stewards of something that had already touched the lives of countless horses, riders, and families. Our goal has never been to change what made AMP special, but to preserve its foundation while thoughtfully expanding educational opportunities and creating new experiences for future generations.

AMP has long been a trusted boarding and lesson barn where horses receive individualized care and riders develop confidence, skill, and lasting relationships. Today, Erica and Russ continue building on that strong foundation by expanding educational opportunities, strengthening youth programs, and creating new hands-on learning experiences while remaining committed to the personalized care and welcoming atmosphere that have always defined AMP.

Whether you're looking for horse boarding, riding lessons, Equitation Club, or one of our other growing educational programs, you'll find a team dedicated to helping both horses and people thrive.

Honoring the Past While Building the Future

AMP Stables was founded by Melinda, whose vision created a place where horses received thoughtful, home-like care and riders developed confidence, compassion, and respect for the horse.

That vision established AMP as a trusted boarding and lesson barn known for quality horse care, exceptional instruction, and a family-oriented atmosphere where both horses and riders could grow.

Today, Melinda continues to play an important role as Lead Riding Instructor, sharing her decades of experience, passion for teaching, and commitment to developing knowledgeable, capable horsemen and horsewomen.

While ownership has changed, the values that built AMP continue to guide every lesson, every horse entrusted to our care, and every new opportunity we create.

Education, Horsemanship & Family

At AMP, we believe learning extends far beyond the saddle.

Students learn far more than how to ride. They gain a deeper understanding of horse care, grooming, tacking, horse behavior, barn management, teamwork, responsibility, and the everyday commitment that comes with caring for a horse.

Through riding lessons, Equitation Club, seasonal programs, and other hands-on educational experiences, we strive to develop confident riders, knowledgeable equestrians, and responsible young leaders.

Aedan and Kyle Brown serve as Head Counselors within AMP's youth programs. After spending years participating in Equitation Club and taking private lessons with Melinda, they now mentor younger students through the very program that helped shape their own horsemanship. Their journey reflects one of our greatest goals: helping students grow into leaders who inspire the next generation.

More Than a Stable

A barn is built with stalls, fences, and arenas. A barn family is built with trust, kindness, shared experiences, and a genuine love for horses.

Whether someone joins us for horse boarding, riding lessons, Equitation Club, or one of our other educational programs, they become part of a community where horses are treated like family and people are encouraged to learn, grow, and support one another.

At AMP Stables & Boarding, horsemanship is about more than riding. It's about developing confidence, responsibility, compassion, and lifelong friendships, with horses and with one another.

When you become part of AMP, you become part of a growing legacy built on care, community, education, family, and a genuine love for horses.

More Than a Barn. A Community for Every Rider. Every Horse. Every Day.
