Special Event Days at AMP Stables & Boarding offer youth groups and families the opportunity to experience hands-on horsemanship, horse care, and barn life in a fun, engaging, and educational environment.

These customized programs are designed for youth organizations, homeschool co-ops, community groups, and clubs looking for a unique field trip or enrichment experience centered around horses, as well as families celebrating birthdays, graduations, or simply planning a fun day at the barn.

 

Participants spend time learning about horses, interacting with them safely, and participating in structured activities that build confidence, responsibility, and teamwork.

What Participants Experience

 

Each event is designed to give participants a safe, memorable introduction to horses and life at the barn. Activities combine hands-on learning, horse interaction, and fun group experiences.

• Horse grooming and basic horse care

• Safe horse handling and groundwork activities

• Learning about horse behavior and communication

• Tack demonstrations and equipment basics

• Hands-on barn activities and horsemanship skills

• Educational discussions about horses and their care

• Riding opportunities or introductory riding lessons, depending on age, experience level, weather, horse availability, and overall safety
   

Programs are adjusted based on the age, experience level, group size, and interests of the participants to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for both participants and horses.
 

Badge Programs & Educational Groups

Birthday Parties & Celebrations
 

Special Event Days can also be customized for horse-themed birthday parties and small group celebrations.
 

These events combine hands-on horse experiences with fun activities at the barn, giving kids the opportunity to interact with horses, learn basic horsemanship skills, and enjoy a memorable celebration with friends.

Party activities and experiences can be adjusted based on the age of participants, group size, and the goals of the event.

Families are welcome to bring cake, snacks, or simple decorations to celebrate their special occasion.​

 

​Program Details

Special Event Days are typically 2–3 hours in length, depending on the group and activities requested.
 

Programs are scheduled by appointment and are available throughout the year based on barn availability.

 

Group sizes may be limited to ensure a safe and positive experience for both participants and horses.

​

ASTM/SEI-certified riding helmets are required for any mounted activities. Loaner helmets are available if needed.
