Summer Equitation Club
Summer Equitation Club gives students the opportunity to spend entire days immersed in horses, horsemanship, and hands-on learning. Designed for children and teens ages 7 and up, this educational enrichment program combines riding instruction, horse care, practical barn skills, and engaging educational activities in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Whether your child is meeting a horse for the very first time or already feels at home in the barn, Summer Equitation Club provides meaningful opportunities to build confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for horses. With extended program hours, students have more time to ride, explore, create, ask questions, and develop real-world horsemanship skills through hands-on experiences.
Every day is thoughtfully planned to balance learning, riding, creativity, and fun while encouraging curiosity, independence, and lasting friendships. It's everything families love about Equitation Club, with even more opportunities to learn, grow, and spend time with horses throughout the summer.

Life at the Barn

Every week of Summer Equitation Club is thoughtfully planned to balance riding instruction, hands-on horsemanship, educational enrichment, creativity, and plenty of time with the horses. While no two days are exactly alike, each session is designed to build confidence, practical skills, and a deeper understanding of horses through engaging, hands-on experiences.
Riding & Horsemanship
Riding opportunities are generally scheduled for Monday, Thursday, and Friday mornings to help keep both horses and students comfortable during the summer heat. Students participate in riding instruction while continuing to develop grooming, tacking, horse handling, and other essential horsemanship skills.
Educational Enrichment
Throughout the week, students explore a variety of horse-related topics through hands-on learning experiences that connect equine education with science, mathematics, history, language arts, art, teamwork, and real-world life skills. Activities are designed to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for horses.
Barn Life
Students become active participants in the daily routines of a working barn, helping with horse care, feeding, barn management, and other age-appropriate responsibilities that build confidence, responsibility, and practical experience.
Creativity & Summer Fun
Summer Equitation Club also includes crafts, educational games, seasonal projects, guest speakers, water activities, and other special experiences that make every week unique. Weekly themes and activities rotate throughout the summer, allowing students who attend multiple weeks to continue learning new skills while enjoying fresh experiences.
Please Note: Riding opportunities are generally scheduled for Monday, Thursday, and Friday mornings but may be modified due to weather conditions, footing, horse health, horse availability, student readiness, group size, or any other circumstance that could affect safety. Because Summer Equitation Club is an educational enrichment program rather than a riding-only program, learning continues through hands-on horsemanship and educational activities whenever mounted riding is not possible.
