Summer Equitation Club

Participation in Summer Equitation Club is subject to completion of all of AMP Stables’ required forms, review 0f all Rules & Policies, and any Summer Equitation Club-specific information listed on this page or registration form.

Summer Equitation Club at AMP Stables is an educational enrichment program that gives kids and teens the opportunity to spend their summer days outdoors connecting with horses, building practical skills, and learning real horsemanship in a fun and supportive environment.
 

Whether your child is brand new to horses or already loves spending time at the barn, our summer program blends riding instruction, horse care, and hands-on barn experiences with themed learning activities designed to keep kids engaged while developing confidence, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of horses.

Summer 2026 Schedule

Summer Equitation Club runs on select weeks throughout the summer to provide flexible scheduling for families.
 

2026 Program Weeks
 

  • June 2 – June 5 (Tuesday – Friday)

  • June 8 – June 12 (Monday – Friday)

  • June 29 – July 3 (Monday – Friday)

  • August 3 – August 7 (Monday – Friday)
     

Program Hours:
9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

 

Students may register for individual days or full weeks.

Early registration is recommended as space is limited to ensure a safe and positive experience for both students and horses.

Activities

Weekly Activity Structure

Each week of Summer Equitation Club follows a structured rhythm that blends riding, horsemanship education, hands-on barn experiences, and fun summer activities. Weekly themes rotate throughout the summer, allowing students to attend multiple weeks while continuing to learn new skills and enjoy new experiences.

Monday – Riding & Horsemanship
Students begin the week with riding opportunities and hands-on horsemanship activities, including grooming, tacking, and working with the horses.

 

Tuesday – Horse Care & Barn Skills

Students learn about the daily care of horses and participate in hands-on barn activities that build responsibility and practical skills.


Wednesday – Horse Science & Activities

Students explore topics related to horses, including how they think, move, and communicate, through engaging educational activities.


Thursday – Riding & Skill Development
Students continue building confidence and improving their riding skills through guided instruction and practice.

 

Friday – Riding Games & Team Challenges

The week wraps up with mounted games, team activities, and horsemanship challenges that reinforce the skills learned throughout the week.

Please note: Riding opportunities are subject to weather, footing, horse condition, horse availability, student readiness, group size, and overall safety. Riding is scheduled for Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, but subject to change.

Tuition and Registration

Space is limited. Registration is required, and a student’s spot is not reserved until the required reservation deposit, payment, or approved Step Up for Students allocation has been received.
 

Tuition

  • Daily Rate: $90 per day

  • Weekly Rate: $425 per week
     

Before & After Care

Before and after care may be available with advance registration.

  • Rate: $15 per hour
     

Reservation Deposit

A $100 reservation deposit per student is required to hold a spot in Summer Equitation Club.
 

The deposit may be refunded at the end of the student’s registered program days or applied toward the final week of tuition, depending on the family’s preference.
 

The reservation deposit may be forfeited if a student cancels with less than 7 days’ notice or fails to attend their reserved program days.


Families using Step Up for Students scholarships will have eligible program tuition invoiced through the Step Up portal at the beginning of each registered program day. The reservation deposit may be refunded at the end of the student’s registered program days, provided the student attends as scheduled and no deposit-forfeiture policy applies.

Payment Schedule

Full payment for the registered week(s) is due at least 7 days before the start of the program week.
 

Families using Step Up for Students scholarships must allocate the necessary scholarship funds at least 7 days in advance.
 

Tuition payments are non-refundable because spots are reserved in advance and space is limited.
 

Cancellation Policy

For Summer Equitation Club, cancellations must be made by email or text at least 7 days before the scheduled program date to be eligible for a credit toward a future eligible program date, subject to availability.
 

Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice and no-shows are not eligible for credit. Reservation deposits may also be forfeited.


Additional Fees

If any additional fees apply, such as special activities or materials for themed projects, they will be communicated in advance along with a clear explanation of what the fee covers.

Families using Step Up for Students must still complete the Summer Equitation Club registration form. Step Up allocations do not replace AMP Stables registration.
